Employer Registration Steps

Employers registering to interview at TIP, must complete all four steps in the process detailed below.  Employers registering to collect resumes via TIP must complete the first two steps of the process.

  1. Register via TIP Symplicity
  2. Complete payment of TIP interview schedule fees
  3. Complete payment of hotel reservation fees
  4. Confirm registration and RSVP for Employer Luncheon

Register via TIP Symplicity

Employers must register online to attend and interview at TIP or to simply collect resumes from participating students. The TIP online registration and interview scheduling system (TIP Symplicity),  will open for employer registration on Friday, November 29, 2019. This automated online system allows employers to specify precise job descriptions and hiring criteria, manage their schedule formats with ease, and register for interviews for multiple offices.

If you do not already have an e-mail account registered in TIP Symplicity, simply go to the “Create Account” tab at the top or the right of the login page and complete the information requested. Once you are logged in to TIP Symplicity, follow the Quick Link to “Submit Schedule Request” (for interview schedules and resume collections) and complete the online form. If you are asking students to submit cover letters, please provide the name and mailing address to whom cover letters should be addressed. For detailed step-by-step instructions on creating an account and scheduling interviews or a resume collect, please see our TIP-Symplicity Tutorial for Employers.

If you have any questions about logging in or completing the registration form, you may e-mail our office or contact us by phone at: 202-662-9036.

Interview Schedule Fees

Please note that fees are due on and become non-refundable after Wednesday, January 22, 2020.

Hotel Reservation Fees

After registering in TIP Symplicity and paying the TIP registration fees, employers should then reserve one hotel room per interview schedule.  The Taxation Interview Program will take place on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Crystal City National Airport (1300 Jefferson Davis Highway, in Arlington, Virginia 22202).

If reserved by Thursday, January 30, 2020, and while available, program participants will receive a special, total discounted hotel rate of $159 per night for a king suite, and $179 per night for a double suite (plus applicable taxes). Employers are responsible for making their own room reservations and for paying for all hotel expenses.

Reservations should be made in the name of the person who is physically checking into the room, and they must be made for a two-night stay (check-in date: February 27, check-out date: February 29) in order for the interviews to be conducted in the room throughout the day on Friday, February 28.

If employers are participating in both TIP and TARE, please e-mail Kate Ehlers (Hilton representative) directly. She will work with you to ensure that employers can keep the same rooms for both interview programs.

If employers are booking more than two rooms and/or looking to reserve a hospitality suite, we also highly recommend they contact Kate Ehlers to arrange the room block.

We strongly recommend that you book your rooms as soon as possible. For employers who are not participating in both TIP and TARE and for employers who do not have larger room blocks, reservations can also be made through the TIP group reservation website or over the phone at 1-800-EMBASSY with the reservation code “TIP.”

Finally, please note that if reservations are made through a third-party hotel site (e.g., Priceline, Expedia, Orbitz, etc.) or your own company travel services, Embassy Suites will have no way to move that room onto the floors reserved for TIP. We recommend employers make their reservations through Kate Ehlers, the TIP group reservation website, or 1-800-EMBASSY.

Confirm Registration and RSVP for Employer Luncheon

After registering in TIP Symplicity and booking the hotel reservation, employers should then finalize their registration by completing the Luncheon RSVP form.

We invite all employers interviewing at TIP to join us for an Employer Luncheon (included with registration). The Luncheon will be on Friday, February 28 at 12:00 p.m.
