Manita Rawat is an Adjunct Professor of Law teaching Intellectual Property Law. Professor Rawat serves as the Managing Partner for the Silicon Valley office of Duane Morris LLP. Professor Rawat has a technical background in applied mathematics and biochemistry. As a registered patent attorney, Professor Rawat has significant experience in patent preparation, prosecution, and post grant proceedings (including inter partes review and reexamination). She works primarily with mechanical, aerospace, and software technologies. She also has significant experience with trademark and copyright prosecution, patent and trademark litigation, and commercial litigation. Professor Rawat counsels her clients in a variety issues related to intellectual property, including patentability analysis, invalidity opinions, portfolio management and analysis of pre-litigation matters. Professor Rawat was named to the “Best Under 40” by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and, prior to moving to Silicon Valley, was named to the “Distinguished Women in Nevada” list. Professor Rawat previously taught “Intellectual Property for Entrepreneurs” at University of Nevada, Reno.
