B.A., George Washington University; J.D., Georgetown. Professor Bowman has been an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel in the District of Columbia Office of Disciplinary Counsel since 2002. As an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel, Professor Bowman investigates and prosecutes lawyers who have violated the District of Columbia Rules of Professional Conduct. From 1984 to 2002, Professor Bowman maintained a private law practice with a primary concentration in major criminal cases – including capital cases in state and federal courts. In addition, Professor Bowman has handled cases involving personal injury, secured transactions, real estate, business transactions, employment, and intellectual property. Professor Bowman has also represented business associations before state and federal legislatures and agencies.
