Michael is a current Georgetown Law student in the second cohort of the competitive Business Law Scholars program. He is also an awardee of the Opportunity Scholarship.

During his first year at Georgetown, Michael served as a Section Delegate of CFLO, the Corporate and Financial Law Organization. He also volunteered at the Landlord Tenant Resource Center in Washington, DC, and the Louisiana Capital Assistance Center in New Orleans, LA. Michael spent his 1L summer interning at Montgomery County’s Office of the County Attorney in Maryland and was a Research Assistant for Georgetown’s Annual Review of Criminal Procedure. He interned at the Securities & Exchange Commission, Division of Enforcement during the Fall of 2019.

Before Georgetown, Michael worked for the Disability Office of J.S. Lichtman as the Records Coordinator. In that role, Michael obtained clients’ medical records from healthcare providers and third-party law firms to assist people that were unable to work due to illness or injury in receiving medical benefits from the Social Security Administration.

Michael earned his bioengineering degree at Temple University in 2018. While studying at Temple, Michael developed a concept for a software company and worked with Blackstone Launchpad to create a business plan. Although he terminated the startup due to a lack of funding, Michael enjoyed using appropriate documentation to plan for future transactions and manage risk. He hopes to assist other businesses in achieving their goals after law school.
