Professor Ellenberg is a retired partner of the Washington, D.C., office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he specialized in the areas of insolvency and bankruptcy. He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. Professor Ellenberg was law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Flannery of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. His experience includes restructuring the debt of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the A.H. Robins, Zenith Laboratories, Geneva Steel, Jitney Jungle, Winstar, Enron, Northwest Airline, LyondellBasell, Lehman and Rescap bankruptcy cases, as well as the Mutual Benefit Life and Confederation Life insurance rehabilitations. Professor Ellenberg has been on the Law Center’s adjunct faculty since 1991.
