This date marks the 150th anniversary of the first law classes held at Georgetown. In recognition, the Law Center will celebrate with a daylong line-up of festivities for students, staff and faculty members, and alumni.

In the morning, the Law Center will sponsor a 150th Fun Run, offer Yoga on the Green, and provide donuts and breakfast treats for all.

A formal program at 11:00 a.m. will feature the premiere of a 150th Anniversary video, the re-dedication of a beloved campus space, and remarks from Georgetown Law Dean William M. Treanor, student leaders, and others. A community-wide lunch will follow on Eleanor Holmes Norton Green and inside the Ginsburg Sport and Fitness Building.

At 4:00 p.m., a casual afternoon reception in Hotung and Ginsburg buildings will offer staff and students a chance to visit, celebrate, and share their thoughts on Georgetown Law’s big day.

Planning for evening programming is underway, as well, with details to be announced at a later date.
